BEHIND LION'S BITE BILTONG

Creativity has always been my way of navigating the world. Growing up in South Africa, surrounded by vibrant cultures and breathtaking landscapes, I naturally gravitated toward the arts. That passion eventually led me to pursue a career in design and after some years I found myself in St. Petersburg, Florida, where I’ve continued to explore and expand my creative projects.

But there was something missing—something that connected me back to my roots. Biltong, a beloved snack from my homeland. It’s more than just food to me, it’s a taste of home, a way to hold onto my heritage. With the unwavering support of my wife and the inspiration I draw from our son, I decided to start Lion’s Bite Biltong.

Starting this business has been a rewarding challenge, allowing me to blend my design skills with my passion for food. Every detail of Lion’s Bite reflects not just my journey, but our family’s story. It’s about honoring where we come from while building something meaningful for our future. Through this venture, I’m able to share a piece of my culture with the world, and that’s something we’re all proud of.

When will I receive my box?

All boxes will be shipped between the 24th-29th of each month.

What comes in the Lion's Bite Biltong Box?

Great question! Each box contains a specially selected variety of biltong ranging from slabs, sliced biltong and each box comes with a surpise bag. All products are packaged with great care before being shipped out. We put all of our resources into ensuring every box is special and unique for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

We will be sad to see you go, but you can turn off your auto-renewal at any time. Just log in to your account, go to the subscription page and select the option set to cancel.

If you have committed to a multi-month subscription and have boxes left to receive you will be charged for, and will be shipped the remaining boxes. Then upon completion of your original commitment, your subscription will automatically be cancelled.

E.G If you sign up for a 12-month subscription, set your account to cancel and have paid for 8 boxes, you will be charged for another 4 before your subscription finishes.

Simply click login in the top menu, enter the username and password you used when signing up.

Please remember we have to process subscriptions. You need to cancel 24 hours before your renewal to ensure you don't get charged.

Can I give the Lion's Bite Biltong Box subscription as a gift?

Of course, in fact we encourage it! You can gift 1, 6 and 12 months of the Lion's Bite Biltong Box to any family member or friend.

Just sign up to Lion's Bite Biltong as you normally would but enter your family/friends shipping information when doing so. Also make us aware of their name so we can personalise a gift in the package.

What is Biltong?

How do I store Biltong?

We get it, Lion’s Bite Biltong is hard to resist. But if you do manage to save some for later, simply zip the bag to keep it fresh and store it in a cool, dry place. If you’re planning to keep it longer than a couple of days, pop it in the fridge or roll it up in a brown paper bag. But let’s be real, it’ll probably be gone before you know it!
